FAQ - Prior to Purchase

How do I know what the delivery time is?

Every product on Order Office Furniture shows a delivery estimate, so you’ll know when to expect your order. You can easily find this information just below the product title and model number, no matter what device you’re using.

I’m ready to order a corner office desk, but I’d like to confirm how to choose the correct side?

Great question, and one we get multiple times a day! When choosing the side for your corner office desk, think about it from the position of sitting at the desk. For example, if you’d like the storage unit to be on your right-hand side as you sit, simply select the Right option.

If you’d prefer it on your left, then choose the Left option instead.

I’m ready to order an office chair, but I’m not sure what “Genuine Leather Faced” means. Is it real leather?

Yes — “Genuine Leather Faced” means the seat and backrest areas you use are genuine leather, while the other parts are finished in a matching bonded leather material.

This means you get the comfort and feel of real leather where it matters, while keeping the chair more affordable and cheaper than full leather.

I've found a chair I really like, but it says Bonded leather. Is this different to Faux or PU leather?

Yes, bonded leather is different. It’s made from real leather scraps that are blended with a bonding agent and finished with a coating to give it a leather-like look and feel. Faux or PU leather, on the other hand, is completely synthetic with no real leather content.

Pros of bonded leather:
Because it’s blended with real leather fibres, it creates a durable material that can last for years, while offering a look and feel closer to genuine leather with a more premium appearance.

I found an item I really want to purchase, but DIY is not my strong point. Do you offer installation?

Yes, we do offer installation across Great Britain with our specialst two man joinery teams. Since costs can vary depending on the item and your location, we don’t list prices online. Just get in touch with us and we’ll be happy to provide a tailored quote.

For example, we'll assume you're looking to purchase a 1800mm corner office desk.

Delivery and installation in Birmingham is typically around £110–£130, depending on the model. In London, it’s usually around £120–£140.

Please note these are guide prices only and may vary due to location.

Can I pay by Bank Transfer?

Yes, we do accept BACS payments. Simply send us an email with your billing and delivery details along with the item(s) you’re interested in, and we’ll email you a full proforma invoice.

I can't stand automated phone calls. Can I talk to a human?

We completely understand — we’re not fans of automated calls either! Yes, you can absolutely speak to a real person. Just give us a call and one of our team will be happy to help. Our lines can get busy at times, but rest assured, we’ll answer as quickly as we can.

FAQ - After Purchase

Can I change my order?

Yes — you may be able to change your order, but it depends on how far along it is.

  • If the order hasn’t yet been dispatched, we’ll do our best to make changes.
  • Once the order has been dispatched, we can’t change it.
  • To ask for a change, just get in touch with us as soon as possible.

When will I get my delivery?

We’ll get in touch with you as soon as possible — usually by phone, email, or text — to confirm your delivery date. Most of our items include full tracking, including day and time, and proof of delivery details are available on request.

Special Order Items

I’d like to order an item that shows “Available to Order – 10–14 weeks.” Is that delivery timeframe accurate?

As of Autumn 2025, yes — the 10–14 week lead time is accurate. Years ago, special-order items could sometimes arrive in as little as eight weeks with little to no delay.

However, with ongoing challenges in sea freight and other delays outside of our control, we’ve updated our lead times to give a more realistic expectation.

Here’s how the timeframe breaks down:

  • 2–3 weeks for production
  • 1–2 weeks for loading
  • 6–8 weeks for shipping
  • 1 week for delivery from Order Office Furniture

I need it quicker, is this possible?

We truly wish we could speed up deliveries, but unfortunately, the shipping process is out of our hands. While production and preparation are completed as quickly as possible, the shipping and freight stages take time, and we’re unable to make them any faster. Rest assured, we’ll keep you updated every step of the way.

Returns and Refunds

How do I return a product?

You have 14 days from delivery to return an item if you’re a consumer. Returned goods must be unused, unassembled, and in their original packaging with all parts included. Return costs are the customer’s responsibility, and if we arrange collection, the fee will be deducted from your refund. A restocking charge (minimum 15% of the order value) may also apply.

If your order arrives damaged, faulty, or with missing parts, please notify us within 48 hours and include photos so we can arrange a repair or replacement. Orders can’t be cancelled once dispatched, and if delivery is refused, it will be treated as a return with shipping and return costs deducted.

How long will it take to receive my refund?

Refunds are processed within 2-3 business days. This can take 1-3 business days to show in your account.
